Experiences

A tale over 50,000 years in the making, the story continues.

Davidson’s Arnhemland Safaris began operating in 1986 when the traditional owners of the area approached Max Davidson in regards to the possibility of a tourism venture at Mt Borradaile. The lodge has evolved over the years to become the premium destination in Arnhem Land. Providing a high level of flexible tours and activities with accommodation and facilities that complement this unique wilderness experience.

Your first tour is pre planned, with a short walk to see our famous Rainbow Serpent, where you will start to learn about the local rock art, the geology of the area and some of the local bush tucker and medicine that you will walk past.

After this initial tour, we haven’t planned your itinerary; we would like to discover your interests and then plan each day accordingly. We want you to get the most out of your stay at Mt Borradaile.

Our itineraries are fully flexible with all activities fully guided by our highly experienced guides due to the sacred nature of the area. All tours are inclusive in the cost.

Guests normally stay at the lodge for 3‐4 days, giving them enough time to see and enjoy the various different ecosystems, a variety of rock art styles, and plenty of wildlife.

Please note that a 2-night minimum stay does apply at Davidson’s Arnhemland Safaris.
