We all have a list of the places we would like to visit.   Arnhem land was one of ours and when it came time to book Davidsons Safaris was recommended to us.   Initially, I was hesitant so checked out with others who have travelled extensively in Northern Australia.  Without hesitation, Davidsons Safaris was confirmed as a ‘must do’   Not only did the experience live up to expectations but exceeded them.  To visit a ‘non-touristy’ aboriginal experience is a privilege.  It was a trip of exploration and the knowledge of our tour guides was exceptional.  The aboriginal guide’s love of their culture and sharing with us was certainly a privilege.  The rock art was exceptional and was one of our reasons for visiting Davidsons but the experience is much more than that.  The variety of experiences including the Barramundi fishing, swimming in the waterhole, the birdlife, finding and watching the Leichardt grasshopper ‘Oh my’ – all added to the comprehensive experience.  

The quality of hospitality at the lodge must be mentioned including the friendliness of the staff and owner Lee.  Well done.  We will certainly recommend to others.
